Welcome! My name is Katie and I am a fully qualified and insured clinical reflexologist.
I only practise in reflexology as I am passionate about what I do and am able to focus on building on my knowledge in this holistic therapy.
My first experience of reflexology was about 30 years ago when suffering with migraines. Someone suggested reflexology, so I booked my first appointment. I continued having a few treatments as I found reflexology to be fascinating, enjoyable and extremely beneficial. I wanted to know and learn more about reflexology!
As life has a way of showing us different paths, I never got around to doing anything about it. Since leaving school I always found myself working in an office environment.
In 2003 I went through a tough journey overcoming a cancer diagnosis - Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The chemotherapy treatment I had was prolonged and during this time I was unable to work. I was given the all clear some months later. A couple of years on I started work within the NHS where I stayed for 14 years. Over the years I found the job was becoming increasingly stressful and, aware of the effects that stress was having on my body and mind, I knew that I needed to change how I was living so I planned my career change by doing some research on training to be a reflexologist.
I enrolled with the Anahata School of Reflexology in Lincoln where I graduated with the Agored Cymru Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology. Yes it was hard work and at times I questioned my sanity having to study while still working! In September 2018 I launched Reflexology By Kate.
Reflexology has opened up a whole new world that I am very passionate about and since qualifying I have completed further training in materinity reflexology.
